AI assistant in Kniha Jízd

Connect Kniha Jízd to an assistant in Claude or ChatGPT. Tell it where you drove, it prepares journeys as drafts, and you simply approve them in the app. No programming, no API keys.

Registration is free and instant — no waiting for approval.

Professional plan

The assistant connection is included in the Professional plan. On the Free plan you can try the app without it.

How to connect the assistant

In both assistants you need a single address — copy it with the button below:

Paste this address into the assistant when adding the connector. You can disconnect it anytime in its settings.

Claude recommended

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors (same in the web and desktop app).
Choose “Add custom connector” and paste the copied address.
The Kniha Jízd sign-in opens — sign in with your account and confirm the consent.

Connectors are a standard Claude feature and work without developer mode.

ChatGPT paid plans

In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps and enable Developer Mode.
Add a new app and paste the copied address into the URL field.
Sign in with your Kniha Jízd account and confirm the consent.

Developer Mode requires a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus or higher).

Safety first

The AI never writes on its own — you approve everything

The assistant prepares journeys as drafts. You see every draft in the app with date, route, purpose and kilometres before anything is saved. You approve it with one click, or reject it. Only approval creates a real record in the logbook — a rejected draft has no effect.

After signing in, you find the drafts in the “AI drafts” section. A locked month stays locked even for the AI — a draft for a locked period will not be saved.

“Record my journeys from last week: Monday Prague–Brno for a meeting, Wednesday Brno–Ostrava to a customer, Friday back to Prague.” I prepared 3 journeys as drafts. You will find them in the app under “AI drafts” for approval.

List your journeys for a chosen period (up to 366 days)
Show the monthly summary of kilometres and reimbursements
Calculate the reimbursement for a journey using current rates
Prepare a single journey or a bulk import — always as drafts

It cannot

Save a journey without your approval in the app
Change or delete your existing journeys
Unlock a locked month or bypass the limits of your plan

On the Professional plan the assistant works with one vehicle you choose; on Enterprise with all vehicles of the organization.

When something goes wrong

Troubleshooting

The assistant keeps asking me to sign in

For security reasons the connector sign-in is valid for a limited time. When it expires, the assistant asks you to sign in again — just confirm and continue. If the problem repeats, disconnect the connector in the assistant settings and add it again.

Drafts do not appear in the app

After signing in to Kniha Jízd, open the “AI drafts” section. A draft is created only when the assistant actually finishes it — try repeating the request. Also check that the target month is not locked and that your Professional plan is active.

The assistant reports a locked month

Month locking protects against later changes — it applies to the AI as well. If you need to add a journey to a locked month, unlock it in the app (if your role allows), approve the draft and lock the month again.

I want to disconnect the assistant

You can disconnect the connector anytime in the assistant settings (in Claude under Settings → Connectors). Disconnecting revokes access to your account — no further drafts can be created. Your logbook data stays untouched.
